Is it officially summer yet? I don't even know, but we had a very summery day yesterday (except it was only 72 degrees and there was a chilly breeze all day).
That didn't stop us from heading to the pool to enjoy the sunshine with friends. We've had so many rainy days over the past few weeks that when the sun finally shines, we HAVE to get out and soak it in! Plus, when I went in to get B out of bed that morning, the first thin he said to me was "pool??" So I just had to take him, this kid LOVES to swim.
It was definitely a little chilly if you got wet, but Brady didn't mind too much and he had a blast playing in the water. He took a few breaks to sit with me and warm up, which I enjoyed. I love any chance to snuggle this cute kid!!
He loves to wear my sunglasses :)
After the pool, we went home and waited for Ryan to finish up his work for the day and then we headed to a baseball game. Brady was so excited and must have said "baseball game" a hundred times that afternoon!
It was dollar hot dog night, so between the 3 of us, we got FIVE! Brady ate his own and even asked for more after!
He loves the baseball atmosphere. It's loud, people are always cheering and clapping, and vendors come by yelling "popcorn...peanuts...lemonade" - Brady would yell those words right back to the them. Any place where Brady can clap, scream, cheer, dance, and eat yummy food is a good place...but that's probably true for many of us.
He has been to a lot of baseball games in his life, but this is the first time he's stayed in/near his seat for the whole game. We didn't have to go walk him around to keep him busy at all. That made it so nice!
There were some very enthusiastic fans in front of us who would dance to the music and cheer (and heckle) a lot, Brady loved to mimic them. In the 8th inning, we finally scored our first run and the crowd (what was left of us anyway) went wild! Here are a few videos of Brady cheering and dancing...he definitely kept the people around us entertained!
Notice how he throws his hands up just like the guy in front of us :)
Anyway, it was a great day! I look forward to many more perfect summer days like this one!
