Since moving to Nebraska we've tried to get out and see all that there is to see, including state parks, festivals, community events, etc. Every time we go to something we're shocked at how small or low key it is...coming from California we're just used to more people and events on a larger scale. When we first moved here some new friends told us to "always lessen your expectations" before going anywhere new here, so that's kind of been our motto...but today, I'd say we could/should have kept our expectations high as we headed to Vala's Pumpkin Patch, which a friend referred to as "the Disneyland of Pumpkin Patches".
This place was huge and there was so much to do, including: a corn maze, pirate maze, pumpkin launch, apple slingshot, train, several play areas, tons of food, entertainment, and so much more that I can't remember (and some we didn't even get to).

Next we found a corn box (instead of sand box) and Brady LOVED sitting in there digging in all that corn. I think we should do away with sand boxes and start having more corn boxes. You're not going to have a hard time getting corn out of your hair and clothes and shoes like you do with sand. :)
We fed a bull and camel....well, RYAN fed them. It seemed a little gross to me.
After stopping for a fresh apple cider slushy, we let Brady run off a bit more energy at the play ground before finally heading home for a great nap.
