project update

If you read my last post, you saw these crates that I used to turn in to shelves. Well, when I first put them up, I liked the way they looked, but they were too high and left too much wall exposed underneath...and they needed a little something extra to make them work for me. I remembered seeing these hanging frames at Michael's yesterday, so I ran back and picked up two to add to the bottom shelf.

I think lowering them and adding the picture frames (with some scrapbook paper inside) was the right move. They seem more interesting and fill the space so much better.

I already had the candles, the bath products, and the toilet paper :), but everything else was new...and thanks to Michael's great deals, it all cost under $25 (which is less than I would have paid for boring old shelves from Target). I was most excited about those ceramic birds and the stamped tin tile behind them. It was $1(!!!) and it highlights them perfectly. I LOVE my new guest bathroom!!
